The age of I do it myself.

A prepared Montessori environment that channels your toddler's drive to move, explore, communicate, and do things independently into purposeful work, confidence, and connection.

Two- and three-year-olds want to do everything themselves. Pour the water. Carry the basket. Wash the table. Put on their own shoes. Our toddler environment is prepared for that powerful drive toward independence. Real materials are sized for small hands. Shelves are accessible. Routines are predictable. Children are given freedom to move, meaningful work to choose from, and time to practice until “help me” becomes “I did it.”

You will see how your child is growing each day through photos, videos, and notes from their guide, sent straight to your phone.

The foundations of a Montessori toddler classroom

  • Practical LifePouring, spooning, carrying, washing, dressing, cleaning, and caring for the environment turn everyday tasks into opportunities for coordination, concentration, and independence.
  • Sensorial explorationPurposeful materials help toddlers notice size, shape, color, texture, sound, weight, and order while refining the senses they use to understand their world.
  • LanguageNaming objects, conversation, songs, stories, and rich spoken language help toddlers put words to the rapidly expanding world around them.
  • MovementChildren are given room and time to refine balance, coordination, fine-motor control, and purposeful movement.
  • Grace & CourtesySimple everyday lessons help children practice greeting others, waiting, helping, caring for shared spaces, using gentle hands, and becoming part of a classroom community.

What our Montessori guides do

Our Montessori guides prepare the environment with care, present purposeful work, and then observe. They watch for interests, developmental readiness, and moments of deep concentration. New lessons are introduced when a child is ready for them, not simply because the calendar says it is time. Then the guide steps back and gives the child room to practice, repeat, and master the work independently.

The goal is not to keep toddlers busy. It is to help them become increasingly capable.

“My two-year-old is in the toddler room, and she has learned so much. Please consider this school as your home, because they have so much passion for your children and are so involved.”
